Combat ought to make more sense. Dodges could be somehow based on speed instead of the "everyone has 3" rule, and an attempt to dodge shouldn't always succeed. Balance is always the main flaw in homebrew systems, and I think this game needs a lot of work on PvP balance issues.
Another issue that affects balance is the starting stats for different character classes. The 15 point difference between a mages starting power and magic is laughable. The same applies to the other classes. The system fails to create specialists. This is hopefully well roleplayed so that the character eventually generates some specialization, but the characters really ought to start with the basics for their class IMO.

I agree. 5 power isn't worth much or any other stat. If a fighter can learn all the spells a mage can ... what the hell? Why not give a mage a sword. And i have already talked to Zabuza about this, but... a mage's damage is trough spells right? And if it wasnt.... how the hell is that a mage... But "Spell" damages are built around a basic principle... which is Base damage + (between 25% - 50%) of their magic power.. but my attacks arnt built on power... also.. i will hit unless they use a dodge. There needs to be some sort of precision as well. Kenshin is fast and can dodge, but isn't to strong. But me having 300 speed..... wont help me much.... having 300 power wont help me much.. what stat will help me out? well .... it turns out to be items...i get X amount of hits with this weapon which does ___ damage and Y amounts with this weapon which leaves me with ____ dammage...But wait... The first initial attack does 1/2 power + the damage. But oh well i can use a dodge on that. What about mages? they can cast a level 1 spell 3x level 2 2x and level 3 1x... how long are the fights? The lowest level magic attack can be done is 20 damage + 1/4 magic . If Zabuza swapped his magic with his power.. he would hit for 420 a spell AT LEAST. Ohh yeah don't worry about dying as well.. because .. there is no defense.. so a mage has the same defense as a brick wall...Take a few hits and use a full heal potion because they are cheap. 5 full potions is nothing. You can only have 1 fight every 2 weeks, so thats enough for around 20 healing potions. BALANCE PLEASE.... otherwise, for the first time in history, kenshin... will become a mage....
