In his room once again, Zack stared at the ceiling. “ARGH! Sleep…Death…something come for me! I’m so tired…”
<Squeak!>
“?”
<Squeaky!>
“Not the answer I expected.” Zack leaned over and saw a tiny mouse looking up at him, halfway hidden in a hole the wall. “Are you Death?” Zack could only chuckle as it scurried out towards the door.
Zack strained his eyes…“AH! Give that back, ya little thief!” The rat was scurrying away with a phoenix down! Zack’s phoenix down! “Wait! Let’s think about this first…that won’t help you…what do you REALLY want?”
The little furball started carving (yes, carving) a picture on the floor.
“Hmm…I’ll be right back!”
Zack flew down the hall, around the corner, and into a pair of double doors. “You! I need two blocks of cheese, pronto!”
A stunned cook started weeping. Ok…he wasn’t. “What? You’re not allowed to be back here. Leave now!”
Zack slightly unsheathed his sword. “You’ll leave this realm unless my request is granted!”
The cook wanted no part of that, and the cheese was on the counter immediately.
“Thanks!” Zack flew his path, ‘cept in reverse, and dropped the cheese by the rodent bully.
The critter weighed the two packages, inspecting them carefully. He must have been satisfied, as he left his precious bargaining chip on the floor and staggered to his hole with his spoils.
“I have beaten you yet again! In yo face!” A ticking started and this worried Zack. “Hmm…oh no…the phoenix down was actually a bomb…I have failed again.”
An explosion rocked the city of Midgar, proving that beast was not second to man. Then Zack woke up.
(OOC): Saturday training. 10 gil, 10 hp, and 15 int. Got it memorized? Silly kitties/Axel…
