Zack put on his new clothes. It felt as though there was a monkey on his back. Maybe twelve. “Alright, let’s see who my new classmates are.” And so Zack walked around, looking for someone to train with. Most were rude, but he finally found him.
“Hey…need a partner?”
Zack was confronted by three of the nastiest looking guys he’d ever seen. Nasty in the dirty way. They were probably responsible for making the gym smell so bad. “Why yes, I was hoping for a decent partner to train with. Howa ‘bout it?”
They chuckled, then continued. “Well, it just so happens we all wanted a workout. You guys ready to show this kid his place?”
They laughed as they lined up. The smallest one started to squat up and down. “Ya gotta let me go first, boss. It’s been too long.”
Zack simply bent his head. “Actually, I was hoping you’d all fight at once. It’ll be more fun that way.”
They started crying from laughter. “Suit yourself. Let’s do it!”
And all at once they charged. They made a lot of noise doing it, and everyone else turned towards the fight.
“I didn’t want any attention…now I have to make this quick.” Zack sighed and readied himself. The first one that attacked was the little one. He made a quick strike, but wasn’t thinking clearly. Or maybe he couldn’t think. Zack barely jumped back and let his fist fall upon the little guy’s head. And surprisingly, he was knocked out.
Zack was rusty, and was still staring at the motionless heap on the floor. “Aww…no challenge…” Because of his distraction, he was hit in the stomach by the big guy. “Er! Why’s your fist bigger than your head? That’s a crime against nature…” Zack whispered to himself as he jumped up.
“Hmm…” He was facing the big guy, yet the other one had vanished. “Well…now where could he be?” The big guy charged, and that was all Zack needed. He immediately whipped around, and saw the other one running for him.
“Hope this works…” Zack waited until the perfect time, dodged, grabbed the man’s arms, jumped and kicked the big man’s face. Zack rolled as he was knocked to the ground. The monstrous man fell beside him. “Wha? He’s already out too? Oh well…” He heard the crowd gasp, and looked up to see something shine in his eyes. Temporarily blinded, he felt a sharp rip in his shoulder.
“AH! Damn, that couldn’t have been his fist!” He finally saw the man again, and he was wielding a small dagger. “What are you thinking!?”
The man started to charge again. Zack started thinking. ‘I don’t want to kill him, but I’m not sure how quick he is either.’
Zack pulled out his sword and slammed it onto the concrete. The strike cracked the ground all the way to the man, and then some. Zack saw another shine, but this time, it was the lights glistening off the man’s sweat. He turned and ran towards the exit.
“MOE!” Zack screamed before he clutched his head, feeling a badly timed headache. That and his wound caused him to pass out.
He awoke in the infirmary. Sitting next to him was the woman guide. He realized he still didn’t know her name. “Ow…what are you doing here?” He wasn’t in the mood to run, so he thought he should just answer all of her questions. She was that type.
“I was just checking on you.”
“Hmm? That’s it?” Zack didn’t believe her.
“Well, I’m here to inform you that those people today were tried and expelled. Also, you’re supposed to pay for the damages you caused.”
“What!? I just can’t win! It’s like they hav…”
“Hey. It’s ok.” She cut him off. “I talked them out of it. Plus, I got you the best room in here.” She started to walk off.
“But…why?” Zack said as he fell back in bed.
“Well, we have to take care of our soldiers, don’t we?”
(OOC): Whew. Pretty tired. Good luck reading that post. Anyway, started SOLDIER training.
